Before the harshness of Winter,many birds fly south. They are capable of traveling to other continents, thousands of mile away, all in a bid to escape the cruel winter. When they return they pick up from the exact place they left off. In this play Elli, an original Zimbabwean songbird returns home after finding acclaim as a jazz singer in London. She now has to confront the pain of her childhood as Elizabeth Ngwenya and the Elli she has now become.
